It is not so remarkable that our greatest joy should come when we are motivated by concern for others. We find that not only do altruistic actions bring about happiness but they also lessen our experience of suffering...the sufferings which undermine our internal peace -- anxiety, doubt, disappointment.

"December" is amazing and brings memories back of the angst ridden years of high school!!
Can't get any more angst-y than "Turn you head now, baby, just spit me out"!
Interesting Collective Soul trivia: the singer got the band's name from Ayn Rand who used the term "collective soul" to describe the common thread of humanity and soulfulness found within all people.
